The 16-unit seniors development project at Busby has been completed ahead of schedule, thanks to the exceptional efforts and hard work of the entire Newbuild team. Delivered approximately 4 months ahead of schedule and within the allocated budget, the project has not only surpassed all expectations but has also overcome numerous obstacles to achieve outstanding results. This early completion will have a positive impact on the lives of those in need of housing, providing significant benefits to the community.

Congratulations once again to NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Newbuild Developments, Signature Project Management and the entire project team for this remarkable achievement. We look forward to future collaborations as we continue to build upon this shared success.

Progress Update – Transport for NSW Intercity Fleet

Signature Project Management is proud to be a part of this major works project on behalf of Transport for NSW.

The New Intercity Fleet will replace the trains carrying customers from Sydney to the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Blue Mountains and the South Coast.

To service and maintain the new fleet, a purpose-built train maintenance facility has been built at Kangy Angy on the NSW Central Coast.

Major construction of the new maintenance facility at Kangy Angy, which will service and maintain the New Intercity Fleet, is now complete.

3 & 9 Duke Street, Coffs Harbour

Mission Australia has officially opened its new community hub at 9 Duke Street, Coffs Harbour, alongside a new social and affordable housing development at 3–5 Duke Street, creating an integrated precinct that combines secure housing with vital support services for the Mid North Coast community.

The official opening was attended by His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor-General of Australia, and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, together with Mission Australia Chief Executive Officer James Toomey, local partners and community representatives. As Patron of Mission Australia, the Governor-General recognised the importance of collaboration between government, community organisations and local partners in delivering practical solutions to homelessness and housing insecurity.

The new Mission Australia Centre provides a welcoming, purpose-built facility from which a range of services are delivered, including housing and homelessness support, private rental assistance, mental health programs, family services and community wellbeing initiatives.

Complementing the Centre is a modern 40-apartment social and affordable housing development, providing safe, secure accommodation for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The project responds to growing demand for affordable housing in the Coffs Harbour region and reflects Mission Australia’s commitment to providing not only housing, but the support services needed to help people achieve long-term stability.

Together, the Duke Street developments represent a significant investment in the local community, demonstrating how thoughtfully designed housing, integrated with accessible support services, can improve lives and strengthen communities.

The precinct will continue to play an important role in addressing housing need across the Mid North Coast while providing vulnerable individuals and families with the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity, independence and hope.

Our Senior’s Living project at Blackett has hit the ground running. Ground floor Slab has been poured in one go followed by Brick work starting this week. Stormwater works are progressing well.

Namur St South Granville

Our Senior’s Living Project in South Granville is progressing well with the Ground Floor poured & brick work commenced for Units 1, 2 and 3. The Project is split into two blocks with Units 7, 8 and 9 near completion for concrete pour next week. Keep up the great work Team!

Cumberland Rd Auburn

The Senior’s Living Project at Auburn is tracking well and our Principle Contractor has been working nonstop to make this project run seamless. Recently, all 3 buildings had their Ground floor slab poured within a week & brickwork is progressing nicely for building 1. Great work Team!

Warrick Lane Milestone – First Suspended Concrete Pour

Transport for NSW New Intercity Fleet

SPM’s Contract Manager John Peric is currently completing a new $300m purpose-built train maintenance facility at Kangy Angy on the NSW Central Coast for Transport for NSW.

The facility will service and maintain the new fleet of intercity trains for NSW and includes offices, amenities, staff parking and ancillary buildings, and flood free access for local residents via a new bridge.

The maintenance facility is part of the circa $2.7b rail program which includes the purchase of 55 new trains and 554 double decker carriages, by Railconnect, a consortium of Korea’s Hyundai Rotem, Japan’s Mitsubishi and Australian engineering firm UGL, which will maintain the fleet.

Miller Apartments Near Completion

Demobilisation of the builder’s crane & removal of scaffolding signals accomplishment of an important milestone, as construction on 40 unit affordable housing project enters final stages. Internal fit out is well underway. External landscaping & public domain works now ready to commence.
